Jennifer Wager is a Newark-based filmmaker and director of Venezuela Rising and Against the Silence: The Families of the Five Speak Out.
Prof. Wager is also an Assistant Professor at Essex County College, where she directs the Communications and New Media Technology programs.
She produces for WBAI's Cuba in Focus and recently directed Dare to Dream: Cuba's Latin American Medical School, a 30-minute documentary on the US ELAM scholarship program administered by IFCO (https://www.facebook.com/dare2dreamcuba)
From 1998-2003, Jennifer worked with IFCO on its Cuba program, organizing dozens of delegations and caravans. She holds a M.A. in African Studies from Ohio State University and a M.A. in Communication and Technology from Georgetown University.
